What is the best advertisements for the blog?

It depends on a couple of things when it comes to ads.

What is your blog about?

One reason is that people could be coming to your blog to learn rather than to buy something.

Onething that I would recommend is have you looked at Amazon. You might have better luck with that instead of ads about medical stuff. Plus I say that picture ads would get more clicks through then text links.

Just like any other type of advertising/money making scheme it only works well if you have a large audience base and if the ads are relevant and properly situated.

I' suppose that depends on how close they are to making a buying decision

I'm sure somebody will have tested it, but I suspect that people who click pictures are in a different frame of mind than people who click text links

The best results I had was an image that was relevant to the page content at the top of the sidebar, with hyperlink text underneath that said "more info" - this took clickers directly to a clickbank sales page

Also successful was tricking readers by mixing direct links to clickbank sales pages - included below the content and mixed in with "related pages" links to other pages of the static web site

If you have quite a traffic (1K/day), CPC and CPM will work well. If lower, you can monetize your site using affiliate links & banner, which are placed like ads. Writing reviews is also an option.
