My current blogging problem is that my bandwidth is increasing at a rate that is much higher than the revenue that has increased (Adsense & E-Commerce) which has lead to upgrading my hosting, etc. Can someone confirm that you can actually block any froeign country from accessing your blog thus saving bandwidth, particularly if your getting no adsense sales from the country? Also, if you are getting as a result less traffic from a country that didn't do adsense clicks, will that increase what you get paid for your actual adsense clicks? Which countries should I block that aren't revenue producers anyway? Thanks for your input. |

I don't think this is a good step. The basic problem seems to be increase in traffic but not in conversions. Instead of blocking, I'd advice trying following steps first: 1. Optimizing Page Size: Try to decrease page size. You can enable compression to save lot of bandwidth. 2. Trying Other Methods: AdSense is not the last ad network. Try out some other networks and see how they convert. I'd recommend using Chitika if you have good search engine traffic. These convert very well as the ads are displayed only to Search Engine visitors from US and Canada targeted on their search keyword. This leads to high CTR. I have been using Chitika for 3 months and it converts well with even very small numbers(I get around 30-50 Search hits from US and Canada).
