Default Adsense Clicks

Right now my blog, Alageeks, isn't getting any clicks. I average around only 100 visitors a day. I was wondering if clicks will start coming when my audience grows. I was assuming that the clicks just come in time.

They'll come in time. I hardly ever get any, and I get 100-200 visitors a day. Have you tried Adgitize or Social Spark?

They'll make you more money - especially Social Spark. Some of it's Pay Per Post, but they also offer Pay Per Click opportunities. Adgitize is like AdSense sort of. Go to my site and check out my ads. The ones at the top are Social Spark, my Adgitize are on the right column farther down.

Publisher - you can do an advertiser account, too, if you want to spend money to put your ads on others widgets. To make money, though, you want to sign up as a publisher.

OK, thanks. I set up an account on both of the site. I hope they work out. Adgitizer seems to be a really good place.

Hey man,

I'm pretty new to blogging, but my dayjob is in online advertising so I have a bit of knowledge

First of all, most online advertising achieves less than 1% CTR. For general display advertising, less than 0.1% is not uncommon. So, even with 100 visitors per day, 1% CTR would only give you 1 click per day.

Factors that can increase your CTR are:

- Placement. Ads that are "above the fold" (ie. visible without scrolling down the page) perform better. As do ads that are within the main copy of the site (think where the user's eye is drawn to)
- Color/style. Try changing the style of the adverts so that it matches your site.
- Relevant traffic. You are getting 100 visitors, but are they hanging around or leaving your site quickly? If users are visiting your site and not finding what they want perhaps you need to look at how you can change this.

Hope this helps

Good tips! I used to oversee internet ads for a company I was with.. it's great experience.
