Should I monetize my blogs feed?

If your feed is set to "full" then yeah, by all means, go ahead and monetize. If you only have a few subscribers and you set your feeds to short or title only, then I doubt it'd be worth it and you may lose a few of your subscribers.

I've monetized mine, but I only get a small fraction of my Adsense clicks this way. I put the ads at the top of the feed. The problem is that they load a second slower then the feed, so people often have already scrolled past them.

If you're going the adsense angle anyway, then by all means, monetize your feeds. The ads there will not perform as well as ones on the blog, but for the most part it's not considered spammy or obtrusive, and income is income.

I would go for ads in feeds. I have earned some money through this so there is no reason why you shouldn't.
