So how much money do you make daily with Adsense VS. the number of visitors? I've heard that Adsense accounts for the most revenue from blogging. Our blog is about 2 weeks old and I'm trying to gauge what is a realistic expectation. Thanks in advance. Last edited by bookblog; January 9th, 2009 at 12:43 PM.. |

I have around a 5-6% click rate and it depends on what kind of ads your running. I've gotten $1.59 from 2 clicks before. My site is movie oriented and sometimes the banner ads play trailers and things of that nature and they tend to be worth more money. I guess it depends on your niche too.

How many unique visitors do you get every day? I'm only at 50-100 a day so I have Adsense off. It's not worth it. I think it's better not to show ads when you're building traffic.

I don't even have that many unique visitors per day but I do get alot of repeat visitors and lots of post comments since my blog is trivia based. I have just over 1k views and only just over 200 unique visitors but like I said sometimes the clicks pay a goodbit. My adsense and search total is around $37 for December I believe.

My lifetime adsense balance is $0.51 I guess that's the downside to a niche blog! Pins Anon The Pinball Blog |

Adsense is so weird. Some days $0, some a days a few $. It's wild and has little to do with traffic to some extent.

I'm not going to give specific numbers, but Adsense is a long-term money maker. It took me 6 months to reach the first payout ($100). Then it took me 3 months. Now I'm averaging a payout every month or so. If you run the numbers, it took me about a year to reach the point where I get a payout every month or so. So far, it just keeps increasing. But so does my traffic. I've had ads on there from the beginning - I don't want to draw in readers and then one day flood them with ads. If they like what I am doing - ads and all - then that is the way to keep long-term readers and traffic coming.

Sounds like your doing something right then. I'd love to have that extra $100+ rolling in every month especially the way the economy is right now.

Actually adsense is not wild or anything, u just must know how to use it ![]() My new blog a couple of days back made a eCPM of 628$ of course it didnt reach a complete impression, but I am doing a kind of expirement to convert most traffic into clicks, so little traffic=revenue, just starting tho |

Affiliate type ads don't work well at all on my site as most folks come for information and not to buy something. We've been up for just over a year and have received monthly checks after the first six months. For us, site sponsor ads generate the most revenue while adsense comes in (a not insignificant) second. Post daily or almost every day on something of value, with relevant pictures so the visitors enjoy the experience in being on the site, and hopefully they will return & reward you for a job well done with a click here and there.
