Are You The Sterotypical Blogger?

I sure hope I spelled that right!
So do you fit the stereotype of a blogger. Young, male, pudgy with no outside life? A person who spends you day staring at the computer screen and flaming people on Digg?

I know I don't fit the type. I'm not young, I'm female, and when I am not online, I am usually outside and active. Whitewater rafting, hiking, and mountain bike riding are some of my favorite activities.

What about you? How are you different

i spend atleast 12 hours / day on the computer.. studying and working on my blogs and promoting it.

I don't think I fit into the sterotype that you described. When I work I focus and I dedicate a lot of time for entertainment and relaxing purposes - going out, movies, camping, swimming, fishing...etc. When I am not working I force myself not to think about work at all.

It's hard sometimes. I guess it depends on your personality. Some people are very dedicated when they work and they can work for days straight. But finding time to relax either by yourself or with your friends/family is important for all of us.

Sorta I guess. I'm Male, I'm ~youngish I WAS pudgy, I DO have an outside life and I spend all day looking at a screen. Usually twitter.

I agree. I've never heard of that description for your typical blogger either. It's probably a good thing I hadn't or I don't think I would have started blogging as I don't fit it at all.

I spend most of my day looking at a screen, but it's not because of blogging... it's because of work.

I'm young(ish), I'm female, I'm losing weight (see my blog!) - I definitely have a life outside of blogging. Living in a coastal area made up of 7 cities there is so much to do. Even though by the time I'm done slaving away at my job all I want to do is lay on the couch with my laptop.

That's a good point. I'm curious if there is any data compiled on the traits of bloggers?

I am anonymous so can't go into detail haha but i am not stereotypical in the sense you explained, i'm an anti-conformist pacafist sceptic. which i think is a blog stereotype to right?
