well, never thought of checking, but it looks like Bloggeries Forum is in my TOP 5 as well. Sweet.

And I see that BAYB brought me 20 valuable readers as well, sweet again!

Bloggeries is still pretty low for me but it reminds me to post more..but does anyone else feel that commenting for readership is like a cheap hooker? It gets the job done - but in a very disingenuous dirty way.

Where do you go about looking for these referrals list? Is there any external tools I could use since I don't believe to have full access to our weblogs atm.

Mainly google searches (both word and images) and the next top few depend solely on how much time and effort I'm putting into places....like I get tons from Gather when I'm writing there and when I'm posting frequently on forums, they rank pretty high, too.

It's a writer's site. I've spoken of it before -- sort of an adult social networking site for writers, photographers, "gatherers", anyone really, but it's different than other sites I've been on. Here's an invite link if you want to look around: Gather I post that one so that if someone joins through that link, then I get a nifty little email with their username so I can go connect with them, hehe. I get decent traffic from there because I'll sometimes post bits from my blog or talk about it and people click the links.

~Edit~ Damn, I forgot to mention....I make money for being there, too, ha. It has a system of points that you can earn gift cards for just hanging out there, but I made enough that I've been switched over to cash and it gets deposited into my PayPal account whenever I want. It's not a huge money maker or anything, but an extra 50 or 100 bucks a month for just hanging out and writing -- doing stuff I do for free on other sites for fun -- certainly can't hurt anything right?

Mostly from google,yes. My blog is very visual and we try to go the extra mile and name image files descriptively so when someone's looking for some obscure image we should come up. Its really betting on the long tail.

Our second source are links from other blogs to some of our most popular posts. Besides that its really small and diverse, again, betting on the long tail.

My blog isn't anywhere near "popular" but the majority of mine come from Twitter and MySpace or people searching wildly inappropriate things on Google.
