I get like 1,000 daily unique hits from it

Well, this month I was lucky and got on Reddit and neatorama, so I had a couple of hits from there. Otherwise it's stumble upon or Google.

Not so much adding yourself it's just if someone comes to your site and "stumbles it" it gets in the rotation. THe more people who give it a positive stumble the more it's shown. Flip side is if you have a great account that has many subscribers and whatever 1 that person can send a tone of traffic.

Summary for mine (based on 180,000 visits in the past 18 months), most of the traffic comes from social bookmarking sites, closely followed by search engines, with forums on a far third place... Almost no traffic from blogcatalogs/blog directories.

PS: for the person asking where to get statistics? Use Google Analytics. For free and very detailed.

Mostly getting my traffic the hard way, leaving comments on others blogs and hoping they will check out mine and become regulars, since participating here in the bloggeries I have to say have seen my traffic improve.

bloggeries is zero for me. i use link referral. thats where 90% of my traffic has come from
