The Real Value Of Comments | The Melvin Blog
well i just want to share this with you. Comments reflect on our blogs. So most of the time we really have to think if we our adding value to the post by commenting or we're just obviously spamming... Comments represent blogs and ourselves. How about you? have you given your blog a gr8 image?

I usuallly get one or two decent, well thought out comments on each post I write, so I have no problem there. Some comments are as long as the post itself.

I am not a huge commenter; I find being active in forums related to your niche tend to deliver more traffic as it usually has more people on the site at a given time. I have gotten some alright traffic from some comments.

If you are commenting only for backlinks or traffic you could probably do more productive things.

Having comments is a great way for your visitors to interact with the owner and share ideas together regarding the content that they read. However, nowadays there are just too many spam comments especially if your blog is a do follow.

I think everyone has a different approach when they comment or when they don't. I mean, commenting has given me great benefits... too bad I don't have as much time as I used to...

Leaving comments on a blog creates conversation with the writer and other people that have left comments on the post. I think most bloggers would like to have a ton of comments on their posts. It shows that people are reading the posts and adding to the conversation.
