Would you actively seek private advertisers for your blog or would you wait for them to come to you by way of your Advertiser Page?
Which one is the most effective method? |

I'd actively seek them. No harm in it and it's usually produces results. People are generally lazy, so if you tell them directly it usually yeilds better results.

How do you open the communication line? I've seen through the comment section.

I am pasivly waiting for .. nothing
![]() But I am new to blogging. Really, how people start communication to sell ads? |

I would run around after them. Rhys is right, people are lazy, but you might find an advertiser that didn't feel like doing the leg work to find a place to advertise.

Let them contact you.
I get pissed off when I get people asking me to advertise on their website... mainly because I get dozens of requests weekly. As long as you have a well written Advertise page and write engaging content you will get people that want to advertise on your site - I tend to get 1-2 per day.

I'd do both. If you contact someone make sure it's relevant. I never get annoyed when someone genuinely solicits me with a real offer. Why would I? I'm a business man and I RESPECT the next man / woman's hustle. Just remember if you send it to someone and they don't reply. No means no online as well

I wait for them. But I think it depends on your niche also.
