I'm a new posts freak as well. I also use the USERCP sometimes. If I'm really in a forum mood I may even track through individual categories.

I usually check my cp first, because I use bloggeries mostly to ask questions. Although, I am starting to use the 'new posts' feature more often now that I'm getting more experienced at blogging.

"Today's Posts", by the time i lay my 2 cents on those, I check "New Posts", cause there is always some.
Then bum around the rest of the day occasionally hitting the New Posts link.

I find just using New Posts gets kinda old as it doesn't showcase. Recently I'll just pick a topic I'm interested in and search or browse say Make Money Blogging until I find something of interest which doesn't usually take that long. The best forum though I think for the community is the Show Off Your Blog.

My main thing is to check whether someone responded to my thread or my comments, then I check out the regulars and see what they are up to (I learn a lot from their conversations).
