Default Random Life Lessons

If you ever realize something small during the day which could be shared throw it in.

I was driving to my office today with a coffee. New car so I don't trust the cup holder so much and didn't want to spill. I ask for a tray, put the tray down and drive away like I always do. Get to my first stop sign and the whole tray flips along with my coffee.

Lesson Learned: If your going to put 1 coffee in a tray make sure that the long part of the tray is towards the front so when you stop it won't flip. Sounds basic but lemme tell you cleaning an extra large coffee from your car isn't fun!

Anyone else?

"Drink beer on the porch"

A little something I learnt, which means if ever you have a problem you can't solve, take a step back and relax. It won't make the problems go away, but you'll be a damn sight more relaxed and clearheaded to tackle it after coming back.

Good thinking, it's like when you are putting together something or working on a computer program for a LONG TIME you start making silly mistakes if you just step back and relax for a bit the unsurmountable problem is normally quite easy to solve with a clear head!

Default Excellent Advice

I have to do that with my jewelry, when I come up against a design that won't do what I want it to. I let it rest for awhile. And I go get a glass of tea, sit out on the porch, etc.

Sometimes, it I need to "sleep on it" in order to get clear. Also, some problems will get solved during sleep. It is as if you brain is working beneath you awareness to solve the problem.

Every once in a while we all run into those individuals who think they are the absolute tops. It is always "i did this" or "did you see my...." or "did I tell you about my...." Now I know we all have a need to brag and to stroke ourselves every once in a while. After all that is normal and I am ok with that.

But I am talking about the walking ego. haha. We all know one. Well, the other day I had an encounter with one. Bragging about how everthing he does turns to gold...etc....... I had had enough and out of nowhere the response came out......

I said "don't forget, the same God that made you made the cockroach" Well that went over real good. He stormed off without saying a kind word...... lol.

I think i'll keep that line in reserve for special occassions. I hope I never get so bad someone has to say that to me.

You have all heard of the sayings "My eyes were bigger than my stomach" and "I bit off more than I could chew"...Well, it doesn't apply just to eating.

I bit off more than I could chew with Drupal (cms - website builder). Although it is a wonderful system, it is way more complicated than I can handle with my limited skills. I had to switch to WordPress for my new website (KnotGypsyDesigns.com - don't judge it yet, it is a fledgeling). Good old reliable WordPress. I eat crow. WordPress will provide me with plenty of challenge as it is and will do what I want. So. You have heard me admit I was over-ambitious. Please, let's keep it between us...
