What do you do when you get negative comments?

I try to reply to make something positive out of it or if it's just mean and nasty I straight up delete it. I'm not wall for someone with an axe to grind spray paint their hate .

The funniest is when you delete it then they put a new one with another remark and why did you delete my last one as though you're in trouble.

I think everyone gets one eventually.

Unless it's a comment full of vulgarity, I leave it. I look at it in a positive way.
I think I've obviously written a good post to get others to discuss it even in a negative light.

All good points, but damn, my guest post on Tyler Cruz's site was crazy... so many hatas but I'm thinking to myself, "I guess I'm moving up in this world if people are actually hatin' on me..."

I don't usually get too many of those. But I did have one "nasty". She told me to grow up! Well, I'm the ripe old age of 39 so I'm done growing I think. I deleted her comment then e-mailed her and told her I was done growing and never heard from her again.

If their really nasty, my delete button comes in handy really well. If it's constructive, I accept it and try to learn from it.

I actually just deleted my first rude comment this morning - quite abusive language over a drawing I did of Johnny Depp..truly.. no reason for abusive language - if you don't like it, just say.. I don't like it.. but this had the old #$@#9&*&^% all over the place..

Kim - honestly, the more negative comments you get, the better it is for your blog, I would say. It makes it more interesting too!

Skleiner - Yeah, I don't really like when people use abusive language on my comments either because what if youngins' read those comments, you know? But all negative comments are welcomed to me...

But ignorant is just plain stupid! lol

I don't get negative comments as such because my blog posts, particularly on NDF, are factual and I have a textbook to back them up.

There are some comments that I just don't know what to do with though- generally involving someone treating something with a 'natural remedy' that's either poisonous or it's a condition that really does require surgery.

The goal of my blog isn't to make money anymore. It's to reduce the level of stupid beliefs out there in the poulation. If I can stop just a handful of people from feeding garlic or paracetamol to their pets, I'll be happy.
