I am curious, what program do you all use to listen to music on your computer. Why do you like it and would you recommend it to a friend.
I just reformatted my computer and am looking for a alternative to the default windows media player and my old ITunes. Thanks! |

WinAMP is really good I like it. I used to use JukeBox as it came with the DELL I'm on and of course Windows Media Player. I'd say WinAmp for all MP3 related stuff.

Winamp all the way. By far the best media player for Windows.

A big third for Winamp. It is just not bloatware like MS Media Player etc and just works quietly without ever bugging me.

I'm not sure what number we're up to (I lost count), but WinAmp, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
I ran an internet-only station for a couple of years, and that was what we recommended to everyone, because it's not the resource-hog that WMP is, and will work with mp3's and online streams perfectly (and much better than any of the other options.) In fact, I'm listening to a stream as I type this...on WinAmp.
