Default Facebook Hoax - Fake Official World President

This is pretty funny, a 3rd party application made facebook world president as a joke and someone thought it real then ironically won and French media covered the story.

Profit Baron dot Com

Only later to realize it was all just a joke gotten out of control when some gullible people believed it real and others never verified any facts...

Don't always believe what you hear on the news

I also love it how major media outlets don't bother doing fact researching before broadcasting "truth" to the nation!

How many times have you received an email forward from someone who didn't think to question if it was actually true? You know, the kind that says "forward to X people and you'll meet your true love" or that two major companies have merged and you can therefore make money out of Microsoft Windows simply by forwarding an email.

It's funny though, people really object when you send them a link to Snopes to show it's a hoax

I know a guy that actually told me he hit bingo; he received an email from a guy ... Typical Nigerian scam. Until I had told him I'm sure he all day had a massive smile on his face thinking he had just hit the big time... Supply and Demand unfortunately I guess.
