How Did You Find Bloggeries Forum? - Page 3 - Blog Forum

I actually was just looking for a blog counter because I could see I had traffic swapping from my blog to myspace last night but no sure count and not really promoting it yet so I figured I would tag a counter to my blog just for fun

A week or two ago I googled for forums that were related to blogging and didn't see this forum listed. There were a couple that I wasn't too impressed with, so I just ended up going to SitePoint. I saw they had a blogging forum, read a few threads and saw one of their staff has a blogging forum.

That forum isn't bad, but I am also a confirmed forumite - have been for many years and own my own flooring forum. That blogging forum was difficult to use. The pages sometimes take forever to load and the color scheme removes some of the functionality of the forum (link colors help to keep a person oriented).

Frustrated earlier today, I visited another site, DigitalPoint, which isn't a particularly oft-visited forum for me. But there nestled among the threads was a post by Bloggeries and I just followed a link. Here I am, there you are and I like what I see so far. I can be such a forum snob though, so...

Thanks for the awesome indepth candid response. I've heard a few people say they don't like the colors here but by and far most do so I'm going to leave it for some time. I used to visit DP a lot but it's just filled with make money spammers and lot's of jealous people. It's good for somethings but so large it has no community feel to it.

I'm glad you persevered and found us; hope you enjoy your stay here as well!

hmmm, never been stalked before, so maybe I'm gonna just see what happens.

But I do have the 911 on speed dial though.

@Bloggeries: Bein' in the interior design related business for 35 years, I've seen worse color schemes than yours. It's a little under-stylized for my taste, but your forum seems to work. It takes more than just a weak sense of style to turn me away, but someone out there really likes teh red.

As for DP... well, this should be about Bloggeries, so I'll not go all OT on ya. But I will say this: My mama al'ays said, "if you can't say something nice about someone, by all means, say it behind their back. That's one of the reasons I started Grump's Place - the official complaint department for Jim McClain hehehe.

I was born into this world to open my eyes and realize I'm missing something in my life... LOL... I'm not even gonna go there.

You might have a long way to go, but it's definitely still doable! Don't give up and end up Abandoning Your Blog like all those other people.
