Has anyone here had to deal with any amount of reader criticism regarding a blog they previously written? If so try and share with us how you handled it and hoe you replied back. I haven’t received any criticism yet but if someone is mean or rude I don’t know how I should react.
On one hand you don’t want to sit back and take it because what does that tell your reader about you? And two you can’t ream then, (unless you have that type of blog) so I’m honestly asking what’s your advice when it comes to handle constructive and negative feedback on your blogs. Cheers bbrian017

Just be yourself. I'm a tolerant person and like to work things out. Evaluate where the criticism is coming from then ask yourself how much weight or relevance it has.
There are more spectators then players in life and everyone of them has an opinion!

Well, if it is constructive criticism, you should take your time and listen to the one who's talking to you. That guy can give you some useful advice and tips on what you can improve on your blog or whatever else he considers that it is useful for you. If it's just some negative feedback, from a guy who may not have any idea about what he's talking about, then you should tell him to back off, as he shouldn't waste your time with stupid opinions..you don't have to kick his -ss, though. You can solve this kind of problems without having to piss each others off

If someone is just saying nasty things, I delete their comment, block their IP and otherwise ignore them. Try not to take it personal, some people are just jerks and like to leave nasty comments everywhere. They like to stir things up and giving them attention only encourages them.

It's hard not to get offended especially when someone makes a personal attack at you or your style. It's important not to get emotionally involved and handle it rationally. I've realized that people who leave negative and mean spirited comments aren't great for discussions. You can talk ti'll your blue in the face and they won't listen they are just looking for an argument.
Ignore them if it persists do as Bob did. Good old block

yeah, there are a lot of blog-flamers out there.. i think it's important to keep in mind that it is your blog, and you have the right to expression. but it helps to keep a level head.
