Now, that I have discovered blogging, I have a new passion (addiction).
As I said, my first blog was to document my journey in becoming successful (I hope) in making a living off my creativity in jewelry. I now have another couple of blogs - one, "The Other Side Of My Life" where I talk about what I do when not beading (mostly cooking, recipes, and stories of my cats). It is not very far along yet, but I am enjoying it. And one under a different pen name where I talk about my opinions (of which I have many). Which leads me to why I blog (other than for business). I am opinionated, I like to tell stories. My friends are probably tired of my stories (they have heard it all before). So I blog. It is a way to speak what is on my mind. It does not even matter much if very many people read it (although it is rewarding when they do). I get to say it. It is a place to "Have Your Say". No one interrupts you when you are writing (as they might when you talk). Blogging has all the benefits of journaling (like focusing your thoughts) with the added bonus of an audience (even if it's a small one).

1,5 years ago, before I signed up for a job in archaeology in Ireland, I was thinking that blogging is a kind of exhibitionism of a lonely people who can't afford something real. Later I realised how wrong was I.
3 weeks before I left Poland I started to find some more and up to date information about conditions and reality of living in Ireland, especially I was looking for opinions of other Poles who were in Ireland already. Then I found couple of blogs on Ireland in Polish lingo. They were very interesting and full of useful information. I decided to start my own blog about Ireland, my emigration, cultural, social and political issues as well as places worth visiting, history and of course archaeology. My first blog was (still is) in Polish. After about 2 months my housemate (who is a very important IT person in Ireland) persuade me to start blogging in English. Despite my English is not perfect I gained quite a big number of readers, but also I became an expert on Polish community in Ireland. I have started to be interviewed quite frequently by Irish and Polish media and became real (but part-time) journalist. Since I have been posting a lot of photos on my Irish blog, but not all of my photos show Ireland, recently I have decided to start with new photoblog. Why to show my photos? Some people like them, so I want to show them to the wider public.

I must admit there is a little vanity involved in blogging. Aside from that, I see you have found other value to it. Not only did you learn some things from other's blogs, you are now helping others.
You have some very interesting and beautiful photos in your photo blog. What an exciting life you have! Welcome to this forum.

I can't think of a reason why I am blogging, except the fact that I love to write and communicate with other people (in this case, bloggers). But I have recently found blogging a very good way to spread awareness on certain causes that one is passionate about (I managed to raised over 800 USD in the recent Blogathon for a Malaysian charity, Eden Handicap Service Centre).
So yeah, blogging allows me to be my own Minister (of Public Services and the Environment) in the comfort of my own room

It used to be so I didn't have to repeat myself now its so I have an outlet for creativity. I love making layouts so if I didn't have a site I'd have no use for them!
