Personally, I'd live somewhere tropical; near the ocean and a golf course. It would be a country club with tennis courts, swimming pools, a nice beachfront within walking distance and other fitness facilities. Oh! I forgot to mention an awesome and reliable high speed connection as well.
So far that means places in the Caribbean or a few countries in Central America. So now I ask you; given the choice where would you live and why? ![]() Rob |

Actually I used to live in the places I love:
Scotland Prague - Czech Republic but to be honest... I like to travel but not to move for good. My home city (Lodz) is big, dirty and poor, but it is still my home where I like to come back after all.

Have you ever heard of the term "Perpetual Traveler" made popular by H.G Wells? (I think that is the name). Basically you never stay at a country longer than 3 months at a time and are always on the move.
I find if you get attached to material possessions it makes it hard to leave when in reality you take nothing more with you when you leave then when you came! It's a topic I've always found fascinating and would like to travel most countries on this planet. |

I want to live on a secluded beach in Bali with high speed internets and sky of course!

I think it is a fair assumption that for most users here a high speed internet is MANDATORY

Thanks to all of my professions or passions I have visited so far a few countries: Scotland, Czech Republic, Ireland, England, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Belgium, The Netherlands and Mexico. It is not a long list, but I am very mobile person. Quote:
laptop, handheld computer, my cameras (just bought a new one - digital SLR Samsung GX 10) my guitars and amps (I have special one built for me by one Polish custom shop) but luckily all of them are usually travelling with me ![]() Nevertheless, it is good to have safe haven - a real home, place that you miss while you are away. Everytime I am away I miss more or less my wife, my 4 cats and 2 dogs (it is time to think about kids ), but I am not a person who would like sitting in a safe room in the chair with the slippers on the feet.

Dubai is popular seeing as it is tax free, I prefer a cooler climate and Scotland works for me, its a question that comes up in our house a fair bit seeing as I earn my income online we really could move anywhere that would have us

Rome:
I love fishing as well, did some deepsea off the coast of England and Panama. Caught a lot more in Panama! Biggest was a yellow fin tuna. Might tasty too ![]() Mac: I hear you about those possessions they don’t count as they are mobile. I’m incredibly attached to my PC and a few other devices as well but they would definitely be coming with me. ScottJ: I plan on one day being there as well. Still need the day job now but when I do become that “Free” there are a lot of places I’d like to visit. Dubai is interesting but I heard it’s very expensive to live and well golfing would be $$$. Been to the UK about a dozen times but never ventured to Scotland; I’ve heard numerous places it’s beautiful though. In a perfect world you can keep your home and travel as well. Then again in a “perfect world” I’d probably ask for a few other things as welll

A tax free haven like Dubai will always end up expensive as the residents have lots of fluid funds ready to spend. I do like Scotland, especially Perthshire or Invernesshire - was down in Edinburgh this weekend just past which is a nice City. You should certainly pencil in Scotland as a place to visit, lot' |
