When posting bloggeries into the blogosphere do you ever think of future consequences? Such as will I think this way in a few weeks, what about a future boss, personal relationships etc... I've almost posted a few on very controversial topics before but refrained simply because I'm more than just that opinion and that opinion could turn others off me who otherwise would of gotten along fine. We all feel differently and often strongly about different things but some things I prefer not to post about because is it really necessary... If you are trying to stir up controversy that is one thing but what I'm basically asking is do you weigh in the future when making blog posts in the present? Rob

I usually do, mainly becasue I know my mom uses my blog to keep up with me, so I know whatever I write will be read by here and other family and could be constrewed badly. As far as other things like future bosses, well, I will never have another boss, my husband wants me to work from home or just stay at home from now on, which is fine with me! LOL I hated working with a boss- although I work more now for myself than I ever did with a 'real' job! :-) |

I personally stay away from controversies as i had a bad run when i started at the web. Like to keep the topic neutral and boil it down by closing with a debatable opinion. I always keep the debate channels open for any opinion Bloggeries

I love controversies but I don't give out too many personal informations. I don't share my blog with everybody as well : I wouldn't want my co-workers to read it. If they randomly land on my blog, fine. But I'm not gonna advertise by the coffee machine. As for my family... well, I blog in English and they're French so I'm relatively safe Seriously, I don't feel like blogging about people around me (friends, hubby, kids if I had any). I don't think people are interested and it might makes everyone uncomfortable. But controversies... I don't mind. I try to be a little bit funny to show I don't take it too seriously. One of my top-post in term of readers' hit was about religion, and I got a lot of comments from people : from hard-liner atheist to a couple of Mormons and Jehovah witnesses. Every one behaved and I didn't have to delate or moderate anyone. It was great, seriously.
