Who is Daniel Smith and what is Smithereens?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here on Bloggeries, so I thought I would drop by and introduce myself.

I am a freelance marketing and communications consultant in Ottawa, Ontario (same place as Rob, but I don't know him... not offline anyway.)

I started my blog about a month ago and so far am really enjoying both the writing and the community. The site is called Smithereens: an explosion of ideas about persuasion, productivity and the art of the written word, if you want to take a look.

Since I am still quite new to the blogging game, I can't wait to learn from those of you who have been doing this a lot longer, and to exchange ideas with everyone here.
