Hi, I'm Jean. I got to these forums by chatting with the admin on Twitter. I haven't been in forums in years so forgive me if I'm a bit slow, takes some re-getting used to

anyhow...

I'm a stay home mom, I have a severe chronic illness (Crohn's Disease) and so my social life is extremely limited as to physical activities. I make do the best I know how by staying active and stimulated online. I am a member of several internet communities and I am an avid life blogger. I do video blogs, home movie clips, audio posts, digital arts & graphics.

Once - I was an actress in a travelling road show. We did sets in various venues across Canada. Just so you know, I wasn't always a housebound PC geek

I'm tattooed and pierced and I put funky colours in my hair. I swear too much and I hate trends and fake people. I am a "recovering goth" and I do not lie to anyone under any circumstances - sometimes you just have to know how to ask properly to get the straight up truth.

I am an adult survivor of trauma, I lived through a few serious physical assaults, I survived domestic violence, I was a street kid, a teen mom, a junior high dropout, and I am still standing to tell my tale.

Those are a small part of why I use "survivor" in my personal descriptions. I have a tattoo on my belly that says so, it must be true! Ink never lies

I've been blogging and creating a web presence since Spring 2003 (give or take a few months) and I have seen/done/experienced just about everything the net has to offer. I "travel" extensively during my days online. I've authored life blogs, adult blogs, fiction blogs, news and opinion blogs. I've published poetry and erotic pieces and I have an extensive digital art gallery of original works.

I dabble in web design - currently I am trying to master Wordpress templates and I do make custom themes if asked nicely - there's a design page on my site with a few examples. Its only recent so I plan to add more soon.

I have many opinions on just about everything but even when I disagree with your point - I always try to understand and at least see it as you may. I don't believe in unnecessary conflict. I don't believe there's a need for flaming under any circumstances. I have experienced vile stalkers both online and off - its no picnic, if you need advice, help and/or support - feel free to contact me, I might be able to help or at least point you in the right direction.

I try to be fair and open minded at all times and I abhor prejudice and stereotyping as well. I am GLBT friendly (I'm bisexual myself) and I believe that religion/spirituality is a very personal thing to be respected at almost all costs. I am a Pagan/Witch but NOT a Wiccan though I do adhere to many Wiccan tenets and ideals.

I have four beautiful children, a wonderful husband and just about the most supportive and loving family that anyone could want. I'm sick yes and I can't get out like normal people but I do realize that it could be a whole lot worse and I am very fortunate to have the network that I do.
