Hello from Downunder

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but not new to blogging - been doing it now for almost 3 years and own 15 blogs. I don't write to all of them every week but a small number regularly and the others as I get inspiration.

I belong to another blogger's forum for Aussie bloggers and it occurred to me tonight there must be other blogging forums so thought I'd come looking for some and found this place.

I live in Melbourne, Australia, am a mother of 5 daughters (now grown), am a published author as well as a blogger and am a Virtual Assistant in my day job. My passion is writing and I would love to be free to write every day as my heart desires - working on it!

I look forward to getting to know all the regulars and some of the lurkers over time.

Hi Rob, I'd noticed your posts before - you've been here some time and have lots of posts!

I started out blogging for a client - I'm a Virtual Assistant and provide secretarial and admin support. But to really understand what I was doing I set up a blog for my own business and then a few months later replaced our annual family Christmas newsletter with a family blog. I wrote about one of our cats that had gone missing and returned injured and uploaded a photo of him - I started to get comments from people from all over the place and that's when I got hooked! I started another business blog for people who work at home and/or people who want to blog and then began other blogs on other topics of interest - many of them on Christian topics. So I have a lot of blogs these days and one of them has even been turned into a book and was published last year.

The client who got me started? Well, 3 years down the track she's just only now starting to get some idea of what it's about - I've been holding her hand all this time and nagging her to post!

Yeah, the domain I originally used for a website that had newsletters and focussed on profiling people in the Small Office Home Office environment but it died a natural death and I did nothing with it for a couple of years. Then I got into blogging and realised I could use it for focussing on small business topics and blogging for small business so it got resurrected, revamped and has been alive again for quite awhile.
