Hi, I'm a new blogger who is looking for tips for increasing site traffic.
I decided to create a work-safe Asian photo blog to appeal to readers who are tired of other Asian photo blogs that show a lot of skin (e.g. bikini models) and have questionable content. The sites been up for 3 months, but the traffic is inconsistent and is fairly low. It gets about 100 +/- 50 unique visitors a day. This forum seems to have useful posts and the opportunity to get feedback. I haven't got any feedback from my visitors so far, so I'm interested in what I can improve on. The address is: Really Cute Asians |

Personally, what does really cute Asian girl (with less skin shown) has anything to do with "WORK-SAFE"?
If you are trying to get huge traffic with girl's pictures on and eventually make money online by Google Adsense, you are doing it the wrong way. You need to find out where your reader are. Did some research on who is your competition web site and what web site link to them. Go to Google search and type link:domainname and find who links to those site. Figure out why they are better than your WORK-SAFE Asian Girl site.

![]() Does the name really cute imply questionable content? I was heading away from the use of other questionable keywords for the URL. As for including the term model, not all my photos are of popular Asian models, so it might be a tad misleading. My original idea was to include the term model, but I thought it would restrict my content. Thanks for your feedback |

I have looked at other Asian blogs and found that most models there are scantily clad. I am aware that sex sells, but I personally wouldn't want to make my site a "bikini" model site. I modeled my site to some of the Korean photo blogs I've seen around (and perhaps some Flickr groups) which don't feature scantily clad females. Perhaps I shouldn't be complaining about low traffic if I'm targeting a small market...thanks for your constructive criticism. |

Where I come from, yes. "Really cute Asians" immediately brings to mind a girly website that would most likely have very skimpy or suggestive clothing. Sorry but you are dealing with a global audience.
The photos are beautiful and well done but I really do feel the title you've chosen isn't the right one. Who is your intended audience?

As for the name, some of the other popular sites feature names like: Hot, Sexy, and other more suggestive names. I didn't realize that cute conveyed such a negative stereotype towards the more sleazy content ![]() Thanks for your suggestions! |
