Just a quick introduction. I should be sleeping.

I'm an Australian blogger living in Melbourne. I only started blogging a few months ago but have become well and truly addicted. It is constantly giving me new things to learn.

I write a personal blog which has some (not great) poetry, a lot of philosophising and at the moment I am using it to try and help me with depression. I'm not really sure what kind of blog it is, or how to "sell" it to anyone. I thought it would be a Mom Blog, because I have a one year old son. But it's not. Mostly, it's about me and what I am thinking about.

But I think about a lot of things. And I have a nice community of readers. And I love blogging.

I'm looking forward to participating in this forum because I don't get to talk about blogging much on my site, not the nitty gritty of it.

So, that's me. Now I'm for bed.

I've been reading your blog, Cerebral Mum. Writing is so cathartic, what a great idea to start a blog to work through depression. Great stuff, by the way! It's nice to read a parent's blog that isn't overly pedantic.

I'm definitely not a pedantic parent. That's a sure path to depression, in and of itself. Writing is cathartic, but I keep changing my mind as to whether it is a good idea or not. It's so easy to get pigeonholed and doesn't leave a lot of room for the rest of me. It comes down to whether the goal is getting better or creating a great blog. Hard to do both at the same time so I keep zig-zagging.

Nice to hear you like it. Especially now i know who you are.
