Default Duane here - from Canada, blogger and author

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm new to this forum, but not new to blogging or websites in general.

I'm an in-house SEM by day, I mod over at Talk SEO ... Search Engine Optimization Techniques and Search Engine Marketing Industry Discussion Forums at JimWorld, I run my own online marketing blog (see sig), I've got a book coming out shortly (again, in the sig), I speak at the SES shows, I co-chair the In-House Committee at Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization - SEMPO and I sit on their Board of Directors as well.

When not buried in my computer starting yet another website of my own, I'm either mountain biking or taking photos of my dogs.

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. I'm hoping to find some time to become an active poster here.

Some of my other blogs that either take up my time, or that I almost completely ignore, include:

My jeep, land rover and range rover news blog...

My car and truck news blog...

My diesel news blog...

...and my latest toy, the weird and offbeat news site. Not really a blog, but still fun and entertaining.

Duane

Hi Duane,

Welcome to the forum and writing such a detailed introduction. I immediately checked out the SEMPO for jobs but unfortunately they are all in the USA.

Very cool blogs; I am particularly fond of the diesel news blog and am looking forward to taking an more indepth look at all your blogs in the "Show off Your Blog" section of the website.

I'm also hoping you become an active poster as you seem to have alot of knowledge to share with the rest of th community. If you don't mind me being nosy how did you find us and how many blogs do you have in total?

Best regards and above all else; welcome to the community!

Rob

Thanks for the welcome Rob.

I think I may have mis-spoke in my intro.

I think I may have listed all the current blogs I have running already...but I do also run two classifieds sites (one with a North American focus, the other local to my community) and another website related to one of my blogs...though I do also have about 40 domains in the hopper for development.

...oh, and I'll be starting another blog next week. I just bought an expired domain on a topic I like, so I can't wait for it to land in my domain account so I can get started.

On top of all that, I write articles for places like Search Engine Land: News About Search Engines & Search Marketing and Search Engine Watch: Tips About Internet Search Engines & Search Engine Submission.

...and I found you via Sphinn: News, Discussion Forums & Networking For Search & Internet Marketing Professionals this morning. Someone posted a link to a top 5 list of blogger joints and you were in the list. - story posted here: Sphinn - Top 5 forums for bloggers

I just visited SEland and SEwatch which I was already familiar with. Those are incredibly strong and high traffic sites; being a guest blogger there is quite an accomplishment. Congrats.

I know exactly what you mean about a lot of domains that aren't developed yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be launching something similar to this type of resource for travel and tourism.

Considering this forum has been around since December 2006 and active since April 2007 it was quite an honor to even make the list. Perhaps SEO has something to do with it as being on the 1st page for "blog forum" has been helping alot recently.

Welcome to Bloggeries,
Rob
