Forum Suggestion -- how to get more people posting

Blogs forums are tough to find...

I had been looking for one for a while before I found this one.

Most of them were full of people who wanted feedback on their blogs (or spammers...) and wouldn't come back to the forum anyway. Pretty fustrating.

I appreciate that you spend time on the forum as well, M. administrator. Makes a difference too. The one of the forum I was in... the admin didn't reply to posts. I left several comments on her blog, didn't reply. Doesn't leave a good impression in term of communication... Bottom line is, if you want a forum, you have to be involved in it yourself.

I agree 100%, until the forum gets really large like several thousand active members who enjoy talking about bloggings and other things the admin has to be all over the map. If the admin isn't "into" the forum how will anyone else?

Spam is a constant battle but if your not getting spammed your not "out there" so being spammed is bad but kinda good I guess. I appreciate whenever people just don't "show off your blog" and actually start other threads or reply to others threads. I used to give out blog reviews and people would join get a blog review and never come back so I made it alittle harder now 7 days and 10 posts hopefully people will be into it by that time if not oh well part of running an internet forum I guess.

One thing though; since this is a blogger forum and not say a hockey forum, maybe I could make other non blogging categories like travel and other things? Hmmm
