Blogging Competition

Hi fellow bloggers,

I guess, like most other newbies, I am still struggling to earn money from my blogs. Thing is I would like to buy the new Asus Eee PC subnotebook - it is so tiny and light - it seems to be the ideal blogging tool to bring to Starbucks or some other WiFi'ed spot.

Unfortunately I have not earned enough to afford one. I am sure there are a lot of other bloggers who are in the same situation as I am. So I thought of starting a blogging contest where the winner will be chosen by the participants themselves, with the prize being an Asus Eee PC. Well, almost. Actually it will be cash - $400. Winner still needs to buy the subnote. For thinking of and organizing the contest, I get to keep a small amount of the entry fee pool - $50 from 45 participants paying $10 each. That way, if I am lucky enough to organize 8 such contests, then there will be at least 9 happy bloggers.

Of course, this is not to say the bloggers who don't win will necessarily be not happy. I am sure the experience of coming together with other bloggers, getting published in another blog with linkbacks, plus the chance to be recognized by blogging peers and win an Asus Eee PC on the side should be attractive enough.
