I hate to do it, I am pretty fond of this blog, but I need to sell Get Rich Geek - Are you getting rich? The blog is just about 6 months old, and comes with 18 months hosting at lunarpages, or you could move it to your own hosting. I have been totally neglecting this blog while working on other projects, so assume very little traffic or income. When I do promote it traffic picks up quick because of great keywords in the domain. About half the posts were written by me and about half are from other sources, mostly ezine articles or articles that I paid people to write for me. PR 3 Alexa 372,547 BackLinks 118 Appraisals are all over the place. dnscoop.com says $470, smartpagerank.com says $227 and Dane Carlson's Business Opportunities Weblog - Opportunities, news, and links for small business entrepreneurs says $3387. Considering all offers, but I reserve the right not to sell if my sentimentality gets in the way of practicality! |

Best of luck on this sale. Blog looks nice and I really like the name. I wouldn't go with the Dane Carlson one whatsoever. According to that same metric. Your blog, Bloggeries Blog Forum, is worth $158,071.20 This site isn't worth $160,000 let alone the forum alone

I know what you mean about the Dane Carlson one! I just threw that in for fun. Honestly, I'd be happy with the $227.00, I think it is probably the most accurate. This is also being listed at DP. |

Well, as I had assumed, none of the page valuators are coming anywhere close. The reality is, something is only worth what a willing seller will pay a willing buyer. (Business 101) According to the auction over at digital point, this site is worth $55, if I were willing to sell for that. (Which I'm not). It turns out I am happy because I realized I didn't really want to sell and now I can keep it and tell myself that when I get time I'll work on it and make it great! |

I am interested, but you are not posting some of the vital statistics. Uniques / mo Page Views / mo Subscribers Earning / mo Etc. Tough to make a decision based on the information provided.

Can't really depend on those sites that give your "BLOG VALUE". Just take whatever offer you get ![]() -Mike |

Good job not selling. DP is typically a place where everyone wants everything for nothing so don't expect a good price. For premium sites sitepoint is the way to go.

I interviewed a professional site broker a couple of weeks ago on Work at Home Moms Talk Radio, you would really enjoy hearing his answers to my questions about valuing a site. Here's the direct link to the audio: » Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #221 - Work at Home Moms Talk Radio

It is in the OP, assume very little traffic or income. But in March it got 1373 page views and made $3.14 In April 2462 page views and 0 income This month so far 1178 page view and $1.37, but that is inflated because it is listed on DP and people are looking. BTW, it is up to $90 at DP, an interesting experiment if nothing else. |
