I'd love to take advantage of the offer, and help support Bloggeries, but I'm just not at the point where I can justify new hosting. It's tempting, I'm a hosting junkie...I've gotten as far as the checkout page on great hosting deals before and had to force myself to close the browser.

HostGator is awesome, too bad I was already signed up. I love the fact that I can run many blogs on one account. Helped me a great deal when I switched.

I'm not sure if we can use the coupon code 'spring' (expiry due 1st May) for 20% discount, signing up under Rob.

Another question, the primary domain registered through hostgator, does it come with WHOIS privacy protection? Do we need this feature anyway, what is it mainly for?

You can definitely use any coupon signing up under someone. They have no clue how you came through and since you'll be a member for a while it's a write off for them.

The whole domain thing is with your domain registrar. Basically I don't pay the extra $20; just make sure the address isn't your home one. So put a P.o Box or something. It all depends on what you want out of it.

Either way if the discount doesn't work it's still cheaper to go through me and get $20US. 20% of 7.95 doesn't add up to much

Rob, I'm looking at buying the baby plan soon, this is final confirmation. Do I get $20/25 if I only buy hosting and domain from Hostgator? Or do I have to use GoDaddy first and then HostGator? Of course the first way is more expensive, GoDaddy charges $9.99 while HostGator domain registration is $15.
