Nice article lot of great tips.

I have had some success getting install jobs off craigslist. There are lots of jobs out there, big companies are always turning to bloggers to help spread the word, but like with anything else it takes a lot hard work and dedication.

One thing I have learned regarding ProBlogging is not to leave your day job. I make decent money online but am not going to leave my day job until I'm making as much as I currently make at my job. Free time is great but free time without money is the worst. Also if you leave your job too soon chances are that the blogging which is now fun will become stressful and the added pressure will take away from your passion.

Yeah...of course, I love my day job, so I can't imagine quitting. (Yes, I'm one of that type of idiot.)

Good advice in there!

I like my day job. Like I could earn more money other places but I would rather work where I am now so I'm still here. That being said I' rather not work. I could very happily wake up do some exercises. with voice software make 50-100 forum posts. Post a new bloggery on one of my blogs and then go looking for blogs to add to the directory. Once that was done I could go enjoy a nice cheap fresh meal somewhere tropical. Trust me I could do that in a heart beat . Until then I can't complain though.

It takes a very long time to accumulate as much earnings blogging as would in a regular day job. For me at the moment blogging is like more like having Internet pocket money, rather than any kind of job.

Very interesting article. How does one get started? How much money do you make?

To get started start blogging on something you are passionate about and learn as much as you can and take it from there. How much do I make... That is private but not enough for me to leave my 9-5 yet!

Exactly Ive learned that free articles only do so much. You want to know enough about your own subject to provide original viewpoints.

Oh, I hope you didn't misunderstand me, I didn't mean for you to disclose the amount of money you make. I was just wondering in general how much can a beginner starting out make?
