10 Solid Suggestions for a Beginner Blogger

This article was solid advice for a beginner..thank you! My own blog is not so brand new - several years now, actually - but I've only recently started thinking of it as anything more than a personal journal. Now I'm using Twitter and other social media, as well as connecting with readers of my other writing to promote the blog and seeing some very encouraging results. I'll add the good advice here to the mix! Thank you!

I know that this may seem obvious, but I honestly have to believe that content really counts. I have gone to a lot of blogs that had ever widgets, ads and gadget known to mankind but there was nothing really there when all that was stripped away...

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Good content is more likely to pull in search engine visits and promote subscriptions and regular blog followers.

One tip I would add is to join a group of like-minded blogs if necessary. I joined RPGBloggers and my traffic went up almost threefold.
