Good call. If you are looking for BS spammy comments you can tell doesn't matter if it's 3 words or 20. A spammy comment is one that dances around things but says nothing because the author knows nothing on the topic. Kinda makes sense they delete it. You didn't take the time to even read the article so...

I found myself writing on the other day but instead of submitting it just hit the X.

first off, kudos on the pickup from John Chow. AWESOME.

Secondly, I like the eye candy idea. I hadn't thought of that, but yes, those Internet readers are visual and that's a great tip. I also agree on the comments note, I make a note to reply to just about every comment I come in, I think it adds credibility to the blogger, and establishes the relationship with the readers. i agree, SO important. When I am visiting blogs, it is just *nice* to have comments responded to by the blogger. So I try to do the same as well.
