I think that if you start a blog and you can't make enough money to pay for your own hosting on a monthly basis after approximately 3-6 months then either something is wrong or your heart just isn't into it. After 6 months if you decided that blogging was not for you then you could sell it to someone that would take it to the next level depending on the niche for more than you had invested in it. Either way you win by hosting your own Wordpress blog as opposed to being on blogger. I would definatley take the University Kid advice, nice article.

Great tips, Jason! I'm happy to hear you're such a big supporter of Wordpress. It's absolutely the most advanced blogging platform out there. It may not be as beginner-friendly as some of the others, but with the all the theme and plug-in options, Wordpress promises a fantastic blog. Thanks for posting!
