Judge,

Yes, making money online is hard work and while there are those rare individuals that make insane amounts of money, there is also a very good amount to be made by just doing the basics and showing up every day.

A good example of what I mean by that is when I was working in my mlm business (I don't recommend anyone do mlm) there were very basic things to be done that people just didn't do. We learned that if you wanted to be in the top 10% of mlmers all you had to do was show up, if you wanted to be in the top 5% you had to show up on time. The top 2% showed up on time and were prepared.

Translated into blogging and affiliate marketing probably the top 10% blog at least 5 times a week, the top 5% blog 5 times a week and leave 20 comments on blogs, the top 2% add 2 more posts per week, 10 comments, 15 or 20 forum posts and 1 article per week posted to directories.

While the top 1% get into the very nitty gritty, there is a lot of money to be made in the 90 to 99% of really very basic stuff, it just has to be done. You do have to work hard, but just visit other blogs and affiliate web sites and see that even the basics aren't being done. I'm encouraged by that because I see huge opportunity all the time in niches that aren't being exploited in that 9%.

Do the 90 to 99% and figure out the 1% when you get the 99% under your belt.

I think you pick up a rhythm where you start posting every day, if you make it a habit.

BookCalendar,

That's exactly what happens. You go from struggling to get every last word out to seeing an opportunity for a post in lots of things you may have previously never thought about using for material.

After I blogged for 30 days straight I started sometimes doing 2 and 3 posts a day. It's kinda weird, but when you make it a habit, it becomes a habit, and a good one at that.

Thanks for the link. I am up for that challenge. Actually, I had started. There had been a big difference during the prior weeks. I think time and effort is really needed.

My routine is this. 1 post a day, 5-8 Forum comments or threads, and 10-15 blog comments a day. I am planning on increasin it...It's becoming a routine for me.

Great Info.

watdawat,

That's it, you are in the rhythm. Making it a routine is what will make the difference. Blogging and commenting is what bloggers do.

It seems I am always late to the party... but I am starting the 30 day challenge today on KatalinaMau.com.
Wish me luck, it will not be easy!
