curious about followers

is posting one or two new posts a week enough to build up a small amount of followers, or should I be posting a couple of posts per day? What can I do to make my blog found often on google?

Pile up massive content on your blog, the longer will be the tail, more chances of your blog to appear frequently in SERP's.

1. How are you tracking "followers" and,
2. What is your blog about? I ask because the number of "followers" might be good or bad depending on what your content is.

Is it a niche blog, that is targeted to a specific audience?

My blog is an electronics resource for people who don't know much about the technology available today. For instance, my last post was a holiday shopping video to help clarify what to look for and expect when shopping for electronics this year. So I'd like to have more followers to know that if I post something that there are people interested in learning about what I have to say.

Very cool. I would say you definitely have a niche blog; getting involved in forums like this one is a good thing. You might also try spending some time going out and visiting blogs in the same niche, and engaging with those blog authors and their readers (if you haven't already).

well, right now I just have a simple blogspot account and it has a "gadget" that allows people to follow you and it shows the amount of followers right now the blog so you can see who all is following the blog.

I have been blogging about a month and a half and have 30 people that subscribe to my google feed, so sounds about right
