I have been looking for a simple blogplatform or any simple technical solution which can convert items in an RSS feed automatically into individual (blog)posts. I created several Yahoo Pipes in which I combine different RSS feeds from different news sources. The output is a new RSS feed. I can display the contents of that feed in a script on a blog, but does not make "contents", e.g. the contents of the feed is not searchable, there is no history of past items etc.. Does anyone know of a way to convert an RSS feed to blogposts? Or any other technical solution? I tried with Tumblr, which gave me exactly what I need, yet I ran into several problems which remain unsolved. ![]() Anyone? Peter

Let me get this straight. You want to make automatic posts on your blog using content from a feed? What is your blogging platform?

That is correct! I am using Blogger, but can't do it on that platform (for as far as I know), so I have no problem to use another platform if that would provide a solution. As I mentioned: I tried Tumblr, which has an easy way to convert RSSfeeds to blog contents, but ran into problems. Peter

Yeah, I was going to say that I don't think you can do that on Blogger. I've never experimented with RSS to posts, so maybe someone else can help out in that regard.

I'm still confused. If you're using Blogger, how do you have posts that are in feed format but not in post format?

He wants to take a feed from a different blog or website and use that feed to automatically create posts on his blog. In other words the posts start out at a different site, are converted to RSS, and then reconverted back to posts.

Concretely, I have an RSS feed I created with aid news from all over the world. I would like to republish this on any blog (or other platform), as individual posts. Peter

Oh... I see. I'll have to think about that one.

What you're basically trying to do is called "leeching" and in the blogging world, that is a no-no. Doesn't matter if you make money out of it or not, the fact is you're using someone's published article and publishing it as your own. You'll need to ask the permission of the author before you can do that and make sure you give them credit for it.
