Default Getting blog content in Google Alerts

Hi.
I've been trying figure out how to get my blog's content in Google Alerts. Because my results have been hit and miss.

Last week I got three of my entries in Google Alerts under my #1 keyword. Since then, my posts have not been getting in at all.

I've tried posting with the keyword in the title, in the first sentence, both.

But what makes me really mad is the blogs that are being picked up in Google Alerts under my #1 keyword are not talking about the keyword, they are mentioning it in one sentence and that's all. Yet, my blogs are about the subject and related to it, but nothing!

Anyone have tips or know how to crack the code?

After reading this my first thought is do you know the keyword density of the page in question for the term in question?

If it's a high % it could of possibly been omitted?

It could be that you used the keyword too much. If Google thinks that you are a spammer it probably won't use you. Your content might be perfectly fine, but the computer that's statistically analyzing it thinks spam.

That's what I'm thinking. Most of the instances of "bloggeries" that get sent to me are from 1 or max 2 mentions. Not saying there can't be more if people were using it more on a page. I definitely think there is a limit and bet it's calculated as a keyword density %.

I'm not sure exactly what it is but I'd say one occurrence for every 80-100 words is what I've heard. I typically go for three occurrences out of 280-300 words and I get good Google rankings.

I'll have to do some SEO investigating and see what the optimal percentage is.

This one here has never let me down.

Keyword Density Analyzer tool for search engine optimization and internet marketing experts

Seriously it's low like 3-5%MAX imo.

The word density would make since as to why some of the Google Alerts that are picked up contain one reference and have little to the topic while mine are not being picked up.

I checked my last entry it was 5.85%

Does putting in the title count in the density too?

Putting the keyword in the title is very important. The title keyword assigns a lot more weight than keywords in the main text. I usually put my keywork once in the title and then a few times in the main text.

Also, what is your Google Page Rank? If it is low it might explain why you aren't showing up as much as you want to.

PR can be deceptive. Search "Home Business Blog" HomeBizBlogger is always first page often top 3. It has no PR and lost it about a week after I bought the site in 2007. Baffles me!

Well I don't know, it can't be a case of there not being other similar blogs that could take those top positions.
