Is this spam going to stop me from commenting?

I got this in my akismet today. Look at who it claims to be from.



It's a different way to go about spamming, but I'm worried that by filtering out these dozen messages than my blog will be listed as a spam blog. The name, email adress and IP are all different to the one I use, but do you think my comments will be considered spam now? Seen any like these in your spam filter?

I have seen things like this over the last 6 months or so. I SPAM them all and I haven't seen any issues thus far.

Anyone else?

I never seen this before... they are spamming you using your information?

I also haven't experience this one... before my blog was deactivated I usually receive 30+ spam comments everyday.. and even if my site was deactivated my blog still receive 15-20 spam comments everyady...

That's weird - I've never seen this. I have had spam before, but it was complete gibberish. Can you report it to your host and see what they recommend?

I'm on a free blog, not sure who I can report it too.

I've seen someone else complain about the same tactic- the spammer calls themselves admin and lists your website as theirs in the hope to get past moderation. Their email address is totaly wrong though.

I would try to get the IP's blocked, obviously they will probably just use proxies but at least you tried.

That is really weird. A question: Are wordpress blogs more likely to be spammed? I never receive spam on any of my blogger blogs, possibly because I have word verification enabled.

I don't have word verification, so that might be the difference in spam numbers, but akismet does well. This new type of spam confused it though.
