Let me quickly introduce myslef. I am new to blogging and I am looking to build a niche blog for something I am interested in. I'm mad on sports and all sports related so I registered the domain stadiummanager.com. I am taking time to put the blog together using Wordpress but when I change the header image and visit the blog it initially pops up with the original blue background. Could you please check this and advise what comes up first for you: StadiumManager.com |

I don't see that happening on my end. It might be a part of the CSS that actually has the header background that blue color, even though you placed it with an image. Are you good at CSS? Welcome to the forum!

It comes up for me but I don't understand why it's set as a background image? I don't play with WP themes much but that doesn't seem right. Anyone else??

Seems to be fixed. I don't get a blue background. Welcome to Bloggeries!

The header looks right to me as well. Plus, if some elements of the default theme don't correspond to what you have in mind, choose another theme where you have to change less to get the look you want. Like Ben said, you'd just have to play around with the stylesheet or header file.
