Trackbacks and Pingbacks

I'm new at the whole blogging thing.
I set up my blog, The Real Teen Dream , around a week ago.
I'd like to start setting up trackback/pingback links to other blogs but am unclear in how the whole thing works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, this is my first post on the site.

edit: And I know my blog sounds like a porn site but it's just a music blog.
