Here is the deal: I'm traveling around the world. Too much of my time is spent doing marketing, link building, social networking, etc. I'd rather focus on actual traveling and working on content. To that end, I'd like to hire an assistant/intern/whatever to help me do the traffic building part of running a website. What I get out of this I get to focus on what I can do best: go run around the world and create content. Hopefully, marketing will improve by having someone who can do even small amounts on a regular basis. My main goal in doing this is to improve the quality and quantity of my content by focusing on it, and increasing traffic by getting help in that area. What You Get Out Of It 1) If you run a SEO or Marketing website, you'll have full access to all my logs and Google Analytics data, and you have free license to use that data to tout your own marketing abilities. Unlike every other SEO/Marketing site which just offers warmed over advice, you can offer real data to back up what you do (and even show what didn't work, which is just as valuable). 2) You will have a referencible client for future work and a case study. 3) I have lots of content already and good sized following. This isn't starting from scratch. This is more taking things to the next level, not getting it off the ground. 4) I'm looking for a commitment until the end of the year. Whoever I pick can have 100% of all ad revenue on my site till the end of 2008. I can think of no greater incentive to building traffic. Constraints 1) I have control over content. All writing, photography and video are mine. I'm open to suggestions and ideas, but have veto over anything. 2) I am not going to radically increase the number of ads I'm running on the site to boost ad revenue. I am willing to make reasonable changes or shift things around, but I'm not going to turn the site into a racecar. If there are private ad deals that can be negotiated, I have veto over that too. I'm fussy about what is put on my site and the quality of the page. 3) If things work out well, I'd be happy to extend the deal beyond Dec. 31. I'm not interested in ad revenue right now so much as I am in building an audience. I want to make this a win/win with whoever I work with. This certainly shouldn't be a full time job, or even a part time job. The monetary rewards will be tied heavily to success, which I'm very comfortable with. If you are interested, send an email to gary@everything-everywhere.com. Let me know your experience in this area and why you think you'd be best for the job. |
