Nothing really special about keywords, it is just how you use them after you find the ones you want to use. You can try freekeywords.wordtracker.com to get an idea of what terms are searched more often than others then you can use those keywords in your blog in the headers, the body of your text, meta tags and links that point back to your posts. If you cover all of those bases your blog will hopefully be found in the search engines for those keywords or related ones. Good luck on the journey.... |

Proper use of keywords offers one of the most effective forms of blog promotion around. Some tips you'll want to keep in mind: * Don't over-saturate your post with keywords. Stick to between 2-4% of keyword ratio to body text. So, 2-4 uses of the keyword for every 100 words. * Try using longtail keywords as well. Not only are these excellent for search engines, they also make blogs and content for easier to read, as opposed to looking like they were just thrown together with search engines in mind. So, for example, instead of using "keyword articles" all the time, use something like "when you're writing articles, keyword usage is important". It still has the phrase "keyword articles" in there, but reads more naturally ![]() * Try use your keyword phrases more effectively in your posts by having them more at the start and end with sprinkles through the rest of the post. Try and have your keyword placed in the first 90 characters of your opening sentence, and once more in the first paragraph. Same goes for the close - last paragraph and last 90 characters should have the keyword in there. Then the rest of the keyword placement can be worked out with your 2-4% ratio. Another thing that is important is to have some web tracking software like statcounter or Google Analytics so you can see what is effective and what is not when it comes to driving traffic to your blog.
