Hi, I'm not sure if this should be in this thread, blog design or marketing; but I hope someone can offer some advice. I have a blog on blogger that can be seen here: NY Food Festival I would like to put something in the side column that would thank the sponsors of the event. I'd like to have the corporate logos of the sponsors fade from one to the next. I guess that would be some sort of animated gif? Is this possible with Blogger? Having one image stay for about 5 seconds or so and then fade into the next? If it is possible I'll take the next step and try to look into how to get it done, but I thought I would see if it was even feasible before getting to far down a dead end. Thanks! Eric |

Hi Eric, I don't think you can accomplish this with animated gif file, even if you could, the effect would be unprofessional, I don't think there is a fading effect with animated gif. Perhaps you need to use flash to accomplish this task. Refer to the following 2 posts on how to embed flash into your main blog or in your individual post even: Flash for Blogger. ~ Dummies Guide to Google Blogger Beta Use Flash Slide show for Blogger - flash blogger Wish you luck |

An animated gif could give you a straight image swap to the next logo and could be put together in a matter of minutes using photoshop. You also wont have any problems displaying this in blogger. I'm sure flash is a better way to go but it also is a little more complicated and people will need the plug in to see it.
