How do you overcome boredom when you're blogging? Just like life every day can't be a great one... How do you keep motivated when nothing seems to be going well?

It is tough at times for sure. I had a website and to many bad days started getting strung together so I shut it down.
With this blog I have almost done the same. But I found this forum and it saved the day. Plus it is an outlet for me as well so that helps. It can help you though. If your having a string of bad days then it might help you look at doing something different to help your blog and you as well.

when I get "bored", I just read other blogs in my niche or work on other projects.
There are a lot of notebooks lying around my office, one of them has to peak my interest. Otherwise, I catch up on stats for my sites or just read some news. I haven't had bordem for long, maybe ONE day, but when it passes, the juices are flowing once again. |

I just do other things. I go read other blogs or start a new project. Do a redesign or try a different marketing scheme that I've been meaning to check out. I don't blog everyday anyway, so it's not like it's necessarily a daily grind, but I do get bored sometimes and need a new approach. It's also great to have some posts already written up so that if you don't feel like messing with it at all for a few weeks, then hey, your vacation is already prepped.

On my blogs, I try to write about 10-15 general articles before I launch a blog and keep them in the queue. Usually something always comes up on a moment's notice which needs to be blogged about in a timely manner so the articles in the queue get pushe back. Another thing I do is keep a small spiral notebook with a page or two for each blog. I carry it with me when I travel and jot down ideas for future articles. When I'm hitting a mental block, I just look at the list and pick something to write about.

I have a group of bloggers who work on my site for free. So I sometimes don't have to post which lets me concentrate on other more important things.

I think one of the best sure-fire cures for blogging boredom is ...blogging. By this I mean it's time to get out the draft folder and catch up on writing the posts that got bogged down for some reason. It will usually spark a renewed interest in the topic and in a bit, you're off to the races again.
Another tip is to have multiple blogs that cater to different audiences. For instance, when I'm stuck or just 'bored' with WriteYourBook.Net, I'll shift over the Get 5 New Clients Every Month or Never Ask for Referrals…Ever and work on design, plugins, or other posts. It works for me.

I don't really have any strategies for boredom. Picked up a few ideas from this thread though.
