Default Re: Twitter or Plurk?

I've been thinking about this some more. Plurk seems to be more purely social, where Twitter has broader usage. Example, just about all the major news agencies (BBC, AP, etc) have Twitter streams... but if they're on Plurk, I haven't noticed them? Maybe it depends on how you plan to use the site, which one is a better fit.

I've only recently started to use Twitter, right now I'm having decent success with it. As far as Plurk, I haven't had much of a chance to check that out yet. But, will be something I will look at.

At this point, I'm using neither. I was starting to like and then so many people switched over to Plurk. I joined, too, but when I got back from working at camp, I just couldn't get back into it.

I'm using Twitter more now. I still like Plurk just the people that are on Twitter is a different scene. Some overlap but kinda different crews.

I haven't used Plurk, but I recently started using Twitter and it is addictive. It is also a great way to promote your blog by using tools like twitterfeed and twitthis.

I have accounts on both Twitter and Plurk. I use Twitter for networking and promoting my blog. My blog posts get automatically tweeted via TwitterFeed so those who follow me will see my recent post. Like Bloggeries, I use Plurk to hang out and have fun. Most of my online friends hang out there and it is nice for conversations and discussions.

I switched from Twhirl to Tweet Deck. Both are good apps, but I found the later to work better for how I use Twitter.

I use the Tweet Deck at home. I can't at work.

I use both programs. I do like Twitter a little better, just because it's more active. I like Plurk, though, because it's more like holding a conversation with people.

There is a Firefox plugin called TwitterFox that works kind of cool in your browser
