What is wrong with my blog?

Q: What is wrong with it? I am not getting good traffic! Can you give me some advice or tell what's wrong?

There's a few things I noticed, although I have to ask, what is "good traffic" to you? What are you getting now, and what would you like?

• You're on blogspot. I never go back to any blog on free hosting. If they don't care enough to buy a domain, I don't care enough to read it
• You've got too many widgets. It looks to me like you've got 5 different ads on your website, all of which have to load from different servers, and just make it take longer for visitors. That MPire thing, in particular, is terrible, it took forever to load, and locked me from moving around on the page while it did. It needs to go, as should the "recent locations" widget. They're not necessary, and slow down load times too much.
• Your archive is set up poorly. In order to read articles, I more or less have to click once for each post. I'm lazy, and if I can't read at least 5 articles within 2 clicks, I'm not going to read them, and I'm not going care enough to come back.
• It seems your blog is all over the place. Looking at your categories list, I can't find any single niche you would really fall into well, it seems equal parts technology and personal blog. That's generally not a good idea for a beginning blogger/writer. You need to be a very good writer for anyone to want to come back if they can't predict what you're going post.

Thanks, I will implement them soon. Now, I do want to move to my own domain. But, I am just 16 years old and on top of that, I am from India. My parents do not want to hear anything apart from my studies! I am having a hard time with bills too.

So, I am just looking to get my first check. The first thing that I will do after that will be hosting blog externally. Anyway, other advices have been implemented or will be implemented. Thanks again!

I think the good thing for you to do is write good content. It doesnt matter if you host your blog on blogspot or wherever it is. Try to join blog communities and make friends to fellow bloggers. Show support and they will reciprocate. Join forums. You will meet a lot of good people and those who we call as "guru" and you will surely learn. That way, you will be promoting your blog, getting visitors, learning and having fun at the same time. Submit your blog to directories to tell the whole world that your blog exist. Thats all for now and I know other members here will contribute a lot more. Cheers
