To add to the topic starters question, what if the blog is centered on a certain topic but every few posts there is a post on personal thoughts or a particular event in the bloggers life? I have just started a blog and am planning to focus on entrepreneurship but also take a more personal approach than typical "make money blogs". I like the idea of discussing something i am genuinely interested in (entrepreneurship) but at the same time being able to discuss something slightly offtopic every once in a while. What do you guys think? Is there a place for this kind of blog in todays world? Cheers, Anders |

The only time a "random" blog works, in my opinion, is if it's a personal blog, aka diary. Even then, you have to be a pretty interesting person for your daily life stories to be successful. I have tried random blogs, and it's hard to get motivated. I had no idea what to write about. Now, with a specific topic, I know what to write about generally. (Coming up with specific ideas can still be a challenge though.) |
