Well, since this got bumped up, I would like to add my 2 cents. Spamming blogs takes away from everyone, not to mentiont that it adds time to the bloggers day. We all know that spam filters do not catch everything, so when 10 comments come in per day and you have to filter through the "filtered" ones manually, you productivity fails.

Just another reason to not mess around. Add to the community, don't ruin it.

I don't spam do follow blogs but I have been known to include links in my comments. I try to leave a positive, professional comment and then at the end I put my name and url.

I don't think that this would be counted as spamming, but everyone has their own standards, I guess.

I agree with Nathan - I don't see anything wrong with links. I understand about the anchor keywords - that makes sense. I think links to your page should be okay, though.

i also do this one... i don't just add a nonsense comment... but i used the keywords and the link for blog comments.
