~~ Technorati Question ---

I have a question about Technorati ---

After every post Technorati is pinged and some days the new post shows up almost instantly and other times it takes a couple of days for the posts to show up on Technorati.

On the days the posts show up almost instantly I've noticed my comments as well as my traffic is more ----

Is there a way to force (or have) Technorati to show the new content on the same day?

Is anyone else having this trouble?

Any solutions?

If you use WordPress, it should ping Technorati automatically.

You can also submit URLs by hand. Just go to: Technorati: Ping Form

I am using Blogger and I am having the same problem. It doesn't always ping right away and I find I have to manually ping it sometimes.

Congrats on getting more visitors + comments when your content shows up on Technorati, you must have a really high authority

If you ping the service correctly, then I guess there's not much you can do. After all, we really can't expect them to answer requests from everyone of the 70 million blogs at once yeah?

I noticed this as well. Even when pinging directly via the ping form - Technorati doesn't seem to pick it up at times. I think they're dealing with server load and high traffic issues.

Ever since I first signed up over there I haven't been able to get any of my post posted.

I've pinged, and pinged, and contacted the support forum. Over there you will see that we are not alone with this problem.

Sometimes I encounter the same problem.. but, this past few days my technorati automatically updates..

Not only this, but one of my blogs is somehow listed twice. Exactly the same title and URL - and both have faves and credit. Oh well...

I think ping-o-matic can ping technorati for you

I've seen a lot of problems with Technorati...From what i was able to observe, most of these problems are related to actual technorati database timeouts, like the missing blogs, or blogs showing twice, or appearing with a lower rating - one that you had several weeks ago...
I never got the ping automatics to function. So far, i am pinging manually, and it works well.
